Wilden collabora con l’area R&D dei propri clienti per la progettazione di prodotti in plastica che abbiano geometrie idonee al processo di stampaggio per iniezione termoplastica e che possano garantire le proprietà meccaniche e chimico-fisiche in linea con le specifiche. In questo processo Wilden mette a disposizione la propria esperienza ingegneristica e le proprie risorse per la prototipazione rapida dei prodotti e la simulazione software dei processi di stampaggio.

La prototipazione rapida avviene tramite stampa tridimensionale in resina epossidica di prototipi che ripropongono le geometrie definite del prodotto. La produzione di prototipi in resina è utile per verificare le funionalità dei prodotti e ideare il processo più idoneo di stampaggio, assemblaggio e confezionamento del prodotto. Ciò permette di anticipare molte problematiche di progetto e di processo che verrebbero affrontate solo dopo la produzione.
